Rosalie Cunningham (UK) apsolutna je zvijezda u domeni progresivnog psihodeličnog rock'n'rolla, a u neku se ruku smatra jednom od ikona ponovnog buđenja „retro rocka“ i svojevrsnog revivala zlatne ere u glazbi šezdesetih i sedamdesetih godina.
Rosalie je višestruko nagrađivana kantautorica i multi-instrumentalistkinja poznata po svom inicijalnom djelovanju u bendovima Purson, Lucifer i Ipso Facto. Po odlasku u solističke vode, nije dugo trebalo čekati na debitantski album koji je ponio njezino ime te je isti predstavila 2019. godine. Prvijenac je odmah dospio u Top 10 britanske nezavisne ljestvice, a pale su i prve, i više nego pozitivne reakcije glazbenih kritičara i publike.
Godine 2022. predstavlja drugo izdanje naziva „Two Piece Puzzle“, nakon čega se zaputila na intenzivne turneje po Velikoj Britaniji i Europi, tijekom kojih je osvojila publiku karizmom i samopouzdanim nastupima. Prog magazin proglasio ju je najboljom vokalisticom godine 2023. Uslijedilo je snimanje albuma uživo „Live at Capela“ te ponovni učestali susreti s europskom publikom, što u klubovima, što na festivalima.
Kraj 2024. godine zaokružila je trećim albumom „To Shoot Another Day“ koji je lirski možda i najinteresantniji. Na sebi svojstven način obrađuje teme kao što su konzumerizam i feminizam, komentira i satiri izvrće političke pojave poput korupcije i odnosa moći, a sve je to na najslađi mogući način podcrtano elementima mistike, okultizma i ezoterije.
Odmah nakon najave albuma, Rosalie je ponovno krenula k Europi, točnije Njemačkoj, Francuskoj, Španjolskoj, Švicarskoj, Austriji, Slovačkoj i Češkoj, donoseći izuzetno glazbeno iskustvo i pronoseći originalnu iskru dobrog starog rock'n'rolla.
Početak rujna donosi idealan uvod u jesen u Kotaču uz prvoklasan nastup britanske rock zvijezde Rosalie Cunningham za koju kažu da predstavlja ono što bi se rodilo iz veze Kate Bush i Beatlesa. Mi bismo na taj popis dodali i imena poput Jethro Tulla, Covena, ali i bendova kao što su Kadavar, Jess and the Ancient Ones i Jex Thoth.

Kao predgrupa nastupit će mladi pulski bend Out Of Civilization nastao u listopadu 2024. Sviraju autorske stvari u žanru alt rocka s
elementima grungea i u svakoj pjesmi pokušavaju na drugačiji način izraziti svoj stil. Bend čine: Tara Matijević (vokal), Helena Bajtl (gitara), Alegra Lozić (bass gitara) i Lana Laginja (bubnjevi).

Rosalie Cunningham (UK) is an absolute star in the realm of progressive psychedelic rock’n’roll and is, in a way, considered one of the icons of the “retro rock” revival and the resurgence of the golden era of music from the sixties and seventies. Rosalie is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for her early work with the bands Purson, Lucifer and Ipso Facto. After venturing into a solo career, it didn’t take long for her debut self-titled album to arrive, which she released in 2019. The debut immediately reached the Top 10 of the UK independent charts, garnering the first highly positive reactions from music critics and audiences alike.
In 2022, she presented her second release, “Two Piece Puzzle,” after which she embarked on intensive tours across the UK and Europe, winning over audiences with her charisma and confident performances. Prog Magazine named her the best vocalist of 2023. This was followed by the recording of the live album “Live at Capela” and frequent appearances with European audiences, both in clubs and at festivals.
She rounded off the end of 2024 with her third album, “To Shoot Another Day,” which may be her most lyrically interesting work yet. In her unique style, she tackles themes such as consumerism and feminism, delivers commentary and satire on political phenomena like corruption and power dynamics, all perfectly underscored with elements of mystique, occultism, and esotericism.
Immediately after announcing the album, Rosalie set off once again for Europe—specifically Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic—bringing an exceptional musical experience and conveying the original spark of good old rock’n’roll.
The beginning of September brings an ideal introduction to autumn at Kotač, with a first-class performance by British rock star Rosalie Cunningham, who has been described as what would be born from a union between Kate Bush and The Beatles. To that list, we would also add names like Jethro Tull, Coven, as well as bands such as Kadavar, Jess and the Ancient Ones, and Jex Thoth.

As the opening act, the young band Out Of Civilization from Pula, formed in October 2024, will perform. They play original songs in the alternative rock genre with elements of grunge, and in each song, they try to express their style in a different way. The band members are Tara Matijević (vocals), Helena Bajtl (guitar), Alegra Lozić (bass guitar), and Lana Laginja (drums).
